Seferihisar is a coastal town with a rich history and natural environment located in the province of Izmir,
and is the first slow city (Cittaslow) in Turkey. The Port of Sığacık is the main center of attention

of Seferihisar. The Ancient City of Teos near Sığacık is a prominent ancient
city in the international archaeological literature. Situated at the seaside
within walking distance to Sığacık, Teos was the capital of
North Ionia about 3,000 years ago.
